Welcome Brethren, to this month’s Message from the West; the last fro the Masonic year.
As the winter solstice approaches and we bid farewell to another year, we gather in celebration of a special Masonic tradition – the Celebration of St. John the Evangelist. This sacred occasion marks the return of light during the darkest days of the year, symbolizing hope, enlightenment, and the triumph of knowledge over ignorance.
Furthermore, it is with great joy and pride that I to the position of Senior Warden for our Lodge. Throughout this past year, I have done my best to embody unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership, and a fervent commitment to our Craft. Under the guidance of the 2022 Line, our Lodge has experienced remarkable growth and transformation, elevating our membership and reinforcing our pillars of Faith, Hope, and Charity.
During last year’s tenure as Senior Warden, the Lodge has witnessed a profound evolution. Through tireless efforts, we have witnessed a resurgence in enthusiasm and participation among our brethren. Meetings have been filled with engaging discussions, meaningful rituals, and educational presentations, creating a vibrant and dynamic Masonic experience for all.
Through visionary leadership, our Lodge has raised its standards to new heights. The wisdom and knowledge imparted to us during the degrees have not only enlightened the minds of our new members but have also inspired existing members to deepen their understanding and commitment to Freemasonry. By fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect, support, and camaraderie, we have strengthened the bonds of brotherhood within our Lodge.
Moreover, I promise to continue my fervent virtuosity in the coming year to fills our hearts with anticipation and excitement. We eagerly look forward to the continued growth and prosperity of our Lodge under its leadership. With unwavering dedication and passion, we can be certain that our Masonic journey will be enriched, and our Lodge will shine as a beacon of light for all who seek the teachings of Freemasonry, not just in the 40th District, but beyond.
As we gather to honor St. John the Evangelist, let us reflect upon the virtues he embodied – love, knowledge, and truth. May his example inspire us to deepen our commitment to our Craft, embrace the light of knowledge, and carry the principles of Freemasonry into our daily lives.
Brethren, let us come together in celebration and gratitude for the remarkable achievements of our Lodge, as I return to the position of Senior Warden, and the boundless opportunities that lie ahead. As we embark on this new Masonic year, let us renew our vows, support our leaders, and continue to work diligently toward the betterment of ourselves, our Lodge, and our society at large.
May the light of St. John the Evangelist guide us on our path, and may the flame of Masonic virtue burn ever brighter within our hearts.
Fraternally yours,
Brother Stephen J Wilson
