Welcome to February, my Brothers! Although Phil saw his shadow, and we can expect an additional six weeks of winter, we have the Eagles in the Superbowl to look forward during that dreary time.
Concerning giveaways at the Lodge Meetings, we’re going to change up the prize quantity to a tiering system. As it takes a minimum of five officers to open a lodge, and there are twelve officers in the line, we are going to increase the number, and value, of prizes for every five members at the meeting, beyond the twelve officers. This will begin in March, as we hope to have a good turnourt for Ham ad Oyster and the following month with District Visitation. A prize schedule will be posted.
Regardless, tonight there will be a drawing of three prizes. A drawing of all the members present will take place at the end of the meeting and these prizes will be delivered as we wrap the evening up over coffee and desserts.
The first Brother drawn will have the pick of the three prizes, the second Brother will select of the remaining two, and the third brother will be presented the remaining prize.
If, perchance, you don’t recall what these wondrous gifts were…
A Grey and Black Masonic Tie
A Pair of Masonic Gloves
A Masonic Car Medallion

Here’s the rub: you have to be present to both win AND receive your prize. If you don’t fill out an attendance slip, if you leave early, or don’t attend the meeting you are ineligible to win.
